Georgia Southern University fullback Dominique Swope was arrested on Monday (February 17, 2014) in Statesboro, Georgia.

Swope, 20, turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest. Swope was allegedly involved in an altercation on Sunday (February 9, 2014) that resulted in another person suffering serious head trauma.

Swope has been removed from the team following this incident.

Swope rushed for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns in 2 games last season.
