Former University of Oregon tight end Colt Lyerla was arrested on Wednesday (October 23, 2013) in Eugene, Oregon.
Lyerla was arrested after he was allegedly seen by police snorting what appeared to be a white powdery substance in a parked vehicle. Lyerla admitted to using and possessing cocaine. Police and Lyerla agreed to meet at his apartment to continue the investigation. When he arrived he ran from his vehicle into a nearby apartment, but he emerged a short time later and was taken into custody.
Lyerla, 20, quit the Oregon football team for personal reasons on October 6.
